Teriyaki Shrimp Stir Fry

I love this recipe because it is so easy and quick to put together on a weekday. You'll see that trend with this months series. I used already peeled shrimp which makes this even easier to eat as no peeling is involved after. I added some extra scallops which are optional, they add another texture besides the shrimp. The addition of chili's, garlic and ginger, give some added heat and flavor to the teriyaki sauce.

Ingredients

1/2 lb peeled and devained shrimp or shell on shrimp
1/2 red fresno chili
1 tbsp sliced ginger
2 cloves minced garlic
2 green onions diced
1/2 cup Teriyaki sauce (link)
1/2 tsp sesame oil

  1. Heat up wok on medium high, add 1 tbsp oil and 1/2 tsp sesame oil.
  2. Add garlic, chili, ginger and the whites of green onion. Saute for couple minutes until fragrant
  3. Dry shrimp with paper towel before cooking. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper. Saute till half way cooked 6 mins.
  4. Add Teriyaki sauce and continue to saute until well coated and shrimps are fully cooked.
  5. Garnish with greens of green onion
  6. Serve with rice
